Hello golfers,
Last week I talked about ensuring you don't haveduplication of clubs i.e. carrying more than oneclub that hits the ball the same distance. Wehad a lot of people come into the shop askingabout the gapping sessions we can undertake inour Indoor Room. If you are interested yourselfin understanding how far each of your clubs goesthen please come into the shop and ask us tohelp.
This week one of my articles below looks at thePING G30 hybrid and looking at how many golfersdon't have that 'go to club' when they need toget back on track when they have missed thefairway or have a long approach to the green.Come and see us in store for a club gapping ourIndoor Room, you won't be disappointed! If youhave any thoughts or questions please clickhere to get in touch.
So, Jason Day continued his blistering run ofform with victory at The Barclays on Sunday. Itwas the Australian's third win in his last fourstarts and moved him in to first place in thelucrative FedExCup standings.
Although Day's most notable skill is his lengthand accuracy off the tee, it was his outstandingperformance on the greens that really got ourattention this week; he gained more strokesputting than any other player in the field;draining them from everywhere. One highlightcame on the 15th, a putt of well over 30 feetthat swung from left to right downhill anddropped in the bottom of the cup. It was a realbeauty, one we'd all be telling our friendsabout in the clubhouse afterwards.
There's no better feeling for any golfer thanmaking a putt you would happily have made intwo. We all want to reward our solid approachplay by making more than we miss, so try andtake some inspiration from Day's performancethis weekend next time you're standing over atough one. If you'd like us to take a look atyour putting stroke, getin touch here.
