Confidence with your driver

You might think that you’re worried about hitting your driver because you’re worried about making a mistake. But what you’re actually afraid of is the consequence of that mistake, which is why minimising the risk lets you be confident, not cautious, with driver in hand.

Don't miss right!

You can do this by eliminating misses to one side. For example, in the above illustration, eliminating that right-side miss will take away the danger of a water hazard and any penalty strokes. Suddenly you’re looking at missing to the left, which isn’t the end of the world, or striping one down the runway.

If we look at the Cobra Radspeed driver range, you’ll see that the Radspeed XD driver is designed with a draw bias for ultimate commitment to avoid that right-side miss. That makes it ideal for the hole above because you could give it a good old whack and get further down the fairway without being scared of losing balls in the water and totting up the score.

While the Radspeed XD is a great example of staying in play on that hole above, you might find that the Radspeed XB – with its maximum forgiveness – is what you need, or that you can shape the ball easily with the Radspeed. Either way, the video above should help you figure that out.
